Guardiola's Farewell to Camp Nou derby overshadows an inconsequential

Not many weeks ago parakeets and culés predicted a hot derby, decisive, in which Barça could play la Liga and Espanyol has your passport stamped to play in Europe next season. But Saturday's meeting will only be an incentive: the homage of the Camp Nou to Pep Guardiola.

The azulgrana coach directed his last game at the stadium after announcing last week it has decided to end his journey on the bench for Barça. And it comes up as the most successful coach in club history, having been thirteen titles, which could be fourteen if you win the Copa del Rey on 25 May at the Calderón against Athletic.

The fans to pass on Saturday to lay off coach before, during and after the game. And the show can be seen on the playing field between the two teams will not matter.

With la Liga dyed white for some and the European places closed to other land, the derby has become footballing speaking at a game irrelevant.

With respect to the alignments, it appears that Xavi not starter. The brain azulgrana trained normally on Saturday after overcoming a sore soleus, and is waiting to receive a medical discharge. Piqué and Alexis are discarded, while Cuenca is doubtful with a bruised ankle.

For its part, faces parakeet box derby as the penultimate opportunity to give joy to his fans, disappointed after the defeat of this second round, where the team has pulled any option to dispute the Europa League next season.

Espanyol have won only nine times in the Camp Nou in its history, although in the last five seasons have conceded two defeats, two draws and a win at the orders of Mauricio Pochettino, the coach who has taken more points of Barça Guardiola.

The Spanish-Argentine coach has only made one change from the previous edition of League: Uche entry, recovered from his discomfort in the patellar tendon in his left leg, by Thievy in up front. The Nigerian forward could relieve Álvaro the up front with the azulgrana side.

Another forward, Sergio García, has not recovered in time to a bruised right thigh vastus lateralis. The Catalan player has practiced all week apart from their peers but no longer entered the list against Granada and the coaching staff has chosen not to force. (via SPORT)
