The Spanish forward Raúl took counsel to Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola, to take his decision to sign one year by Al Sadd of Qatar.
Guardiola, before retiring as a player, he played from 2003 to 2005 in the Qatari Al Ahly.
"I want the Al Sadd of Qatar football and take advantage of my experience, especially when Qatar is about to organize a major event like the World 2022," said Raúl, 34, Real Madrid legend and that the last two seasons he played for Schalke 04 German.
Raúl signed for one year and as always take the number seven shirt. "The negotiations began three months ago", said Jassim al-Rumaihi, Secretary General of Al Sadd. "We are proud to have a great player like Raúl." (via SPORT)
