Alexis and Thiago train with the group

The two players continue to recover successfully from their respective injuries and trained this Wednesday with their teammates in the session that took place at the Camp Nou.

Abidal, meanwhile, did some specific recovery work on the pitch, away from the main group.

Barça B players Tello and Muniesa also took part in the session.

Having enjoyed two days off, the Barça first team returned to training on Wednesday, with all their efforts aimed at preparation for this Saturday's League match away to Sevilla. This time, the training session was held at the Camp Nou, behind closed doors, and before the session, the first team had the official photo of the season taken.

The novelty of the session was seeing Alexis and Thiago training alongside their teammates. Remember that the Chilean suffered a small tear in the in his right thigh which prevented him from being present in the matches against Bayer Leverkusen and Racing Santander. Thiago, meanwhile, is continuing his recovery from the periostitis of the third distal of his right tibia that didn't allow him him to play in the last three matches, against Sporting, Bayer Leverkusen, and Racing Santander.

As for Abidal, who is recovering from a groin strain, he did some recovery work on the Camp Nou pitch, away from the main group. A well as the first team players, Marc Muniesa and Cristian Tello also took part in the session. Barça will be back at training on Thursday, from 11.00, at the Joan Gamper training ground.

The training session at the Camp Nou was attended by Manolo Preciado, as well as former player Edgar Davids, who was at Barça for half a season in 2004.

UEFA doping control

Just after training, a total of 10 players were subjected to doping controls, in this case giving urine samples, that UEFA demand every so often. This time, the 10 players were Thiago, Pedro, Keita, Alves, Mascherano, Abidal, Valdes, Pique, Puyol, and Cuenca. (via FCBarcelona.cat).
