ElFutbol Club Barcelona expresses satisfaction with legal decision.
The Jutjat de Primera Instància number 30 of Barcelona today published its decision 1533/2010, in which it dismissed the challenge by Sr. Joan Laporta and members of his board of directors to challenge the legitimacy of the Assemblea General Ordinària of October 16th 2010.
The sentence also awarded costs against Sr Laporta and the judge based his decision on the strict right to information, the non-influence of the revelation of the ‘due diligence’ in the voting, the fact that the presentation of the 2009/10 accounts to the Assembly was in line with the statutory demand for showing a true image of the Club’s economic situation, on not having impeded the attendance of Sr Laporta at the Assembly and on the agreement adopted to exercise the action of responsibility in accordance with the legal and statuary requirements.
As a consequence, Futbol Club Barcelona has expressed its satisfaction with the legal decision upholding the agreements made in the Assembly on October 16th 2010. (via FCBarcelona.cat)
